Our Planting Partner (EcoEntrepreneurs)

Restoring Forests Across the Globe

Our planting partner has planting projects in six global regions: North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Every reforestation project has a unique impact on forests, communities, biodiversity, and the environment.

North America

Our work in North America is restoring forests in the wake of major wildfires like those in British Columbia, Canada, repairing damage caused by industry and resource extraction, and supporting endangered species like the Southern Resident Orca of the Pacific Northwest.

Latin America & The Caribbean

Our tree-planting initiatives across Latin America & the Caribbean support indigenous communities, combat climate change, and restore vital habitats for diverse species. Learn more about how our work is making a difference across this vibrant region.

Africa

Africa's forests, from the Congo Basin to coastal mangroves, are among the most ecologically diverse in the world. Explore how our work across the continent is helping to restore these crucial ecosystems and support local communities.

Asia

Across Asia, our tree-planting projects are restoring habitats for critically endangered species. Learn more about how our work is making a difference in countries throughout this vast and diverse continent.

Europe

From the Black Forest of Brother's Grimm lore to the historic Leiria Pine Forest, woodlands are woven through the fabric of Europe's history. 8,000 years ago, before the First Agricultural Revolution, studies indicate that Europe was primarily covered in forest. Today, despite significant declines, the region remains one of the most forested in the world — and its tree cover is dominated by broadleaf deciduous and evergreen coniferous trees. Europe's forests have historically faced extreme deforestation pressure as a result of human expansion, conflict, the industrial revolution, and other factors. Pests, diseases, and climate change only intensify the pressure on already fragmented woodlands — and in the UK alone, millions of ash trees are threatened by Chalara ash dieback. As Europe experiences increasing climate change impacts such as record-high temperatures, forest fires in Greece, and flooding in Italy, reforestation is more important than ever.

Oceania

Home to the world's smallest continent, Australia, and over 25,000 Pacific Islands, the Oceania region sits within the Pacific Ocean, a vast water body that's larger than all of Earth's continental landmasses and islands combined. With continental islands like New Guinea, high islands like Fiji, and low islands like Kiribati, the Oceania region represents one of the richest complexes of marine and terrestrial ecosystems on Earth. Despite being rich in natural resources, the Pacific Islands are some of the most vulnerable in the world to the impacts of natural disasters. Australia also faces significant environmental threats, including deforestation, bushfires, and invasive species. In combination with climate change impacts like fluctuating weather patterns and rising sea levels, these add up to profound challenges for this extraordinarily diverse region.
